Marriage and Family Therapist Intern – Supervised by Bianca Vincent
I have always had a deep-rooted curiosity about people and discovering their unique life story. As a Therapy Student specializing in Child and Adolescent Family Therapy I am transforming that curiosity into a passionate profession. I am devoted to working with individuals, couples and families to strengthen their connections and help them look forward to the future with positivity and excitement for life’s potential.
A quote I love is “Children don’t need perfection, they need connection” -L.R. Knost. This has been a personal mantra in my life but also serves as a professional reminder that clients of any age desire connection to others and the world around them. My goal as a therapist is to provide this positive connection to clients by creating a safe and accepting environment for them as we build a strong relationship. Let’s work together as a team to find actionable solutions to problems that just make sense. Incorporation of therapy models I use include Solution-focused, Cognitive behavioral techniques and Bowen family systems, as well as the Gottman Method with couples.
Outside of work I find joy in raising four children with my husband of 15 years, sweating it out at Bikram yoga, reading fantasy novels, baking pies and road tripping around the country; currently I am at 35 states and counting.
